Walnut & white oak footstool

This is a recent piece I made for my wife. This is built from 4/4 Black Walnut. To add some contrasting colors I cut splines in to the top and used some White Oak scraps to make the splines. The base is built using half lap joints on the legs and Domino joinery on the stretchers.
